If there's one thing that has gotten me into more trouble than any other it's my mouth; excessively verbose dialogues that often end up far from where they should. To some this can be quite annoying, but to the people I spend most of my time around I believe it adds a lot to our dynamic as a group...at least some of the time! I made the decision to pursue an acting/voice acting career just a few months ago, but my interest in the field has been around since I was a child.
Yet with the pressure of normality surrounding me I found myself working in places like BestBuy and At&t which are not inherently terrible all on their own, just not where I felt I was doing anything of value. I began writing scripts for machinima shorts when I was in middle school; scribbling down scenes and episodes on the bus rides to school and any free time I could find. It wasn't until I began going to see panels at cons such as AWA and DragonCon that I realized where I should focus my efforts. Seeing other actors and actresses get up on stage in front of hundreds if not thousands of people just vying for the chance to see their favorite characters in person was inspiring.
These people are what I aspire to be. People who love what they do and have such a positive impact on the people who see their work. While all these individuals and most of my efforts are normally voice actors, I have a healthy desire for live action as well. For now I see that as a goal to achieve after testing the waters a bit. That's it for now for my first update of hopefully many more to come. I'm starting this from the ground up and am working on getting a few projects behind me to put together a decent portfolio and moving forward from there. Til next time!
